About
Auto Insights Dashboard is a free application that aims to bring all of your car's stats through the help of the standardized OBD port to the screen of your entertainment unit.
AID has been developed by researchers and students at the Data Management Systems Laboratory (DMSL), Department of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus.

AID is open source under an MIT licence and can be downloaded on AID on Github. To contribute to AID development post your "Issue" or "Pull Request" on Github.

Modal Header
1) Go to the settings of your phone and enable unkown sources.
2) Download the application from our website on your phone.
To install, just press on the downloaded file.
3) If you do not have the Android Auto application on your phone install it from the Store.
4) Launch the Android Auto application, head to the settings and enable developer options by tapping 10 times on the Version and permission info. This will allow you to enable unkown sources in Android Auto. You can always disable it from the settings.
5) Tap on the 3 dots on the right top corner, go to the Developer Settings and enable unkown sources.
6) You are ready to use the application with Android Auto.
7) First connect the OBD2 device in your car. Most of the times the port is located under the steering wheel.
8) Connect your phone to Android Auto in your car. This is done by launching the Android Auto app on your phone, going to settings and following the instructions on how to connect the phone to the car, via USB or Bluetooth.
9) When connected, launch Auto Insights Dashnoard through your phone (outside of Android Auto).
10) Connect to the OBD2 device through our application with your selected method. If you select bluetooth, allow the application to use bluetooth through the prompt, Then the list of available devices will show, select your OBD2 device and the application will connect.
11) When connected select one of the available prompted addresses.
12) Go to the OBD data screen in the application and check that your phone is receiving data.
13) You are now ready to use the application through the car. Through your car's screen in Android Auto, select our application to launch. You will have the 2 lists available and all the data will be visible.
